It might sound silly, but this was a big deal to Jake, and as a new guy in his shop he felt it would help him fit in. Jake's problem? The first 30 days.

The Path to Bearded Victory
1. Stay the Course: Remember, the first 30 days are by far the hardest. You might even feel a little insecure but trust me: be patient and remember no one is thinking about you as much as you do.
2. Beard Oil to the Rescue: Just a few drops of beard oil in the morning can keep your skin moisturized, reduce itchiness, and promote healthy growth.
3. Butter Up: Beard butter helps make your beard more manageable as well as nourish your beard. I personally prefer to use it at night before bed.
4. Balm Basics: Want to shape your beard? Beard balm offers the conditioning of butter, but more styling control. I like to apply it about 10-15 minutes after my beard oil.
5. Regular Trims: It might sound counterintuitive, but trimming ensures even growth and avoids that unkempt look. Consider finding a barber who is good with beards. You're way less likely to give up when you have a little help.
6. Give It Time - Rome wasn't built in a day, and your beard won't be either.
